James O'Leary has extensive work experience in the field of accounting and taxation. James started their career as an Accounts and Audit Junior at Morris Crocker Chartered Accountants in April 2009 and worked in this role until October 2012. James then transitioned to the position of Accounts and Audit Senior, where they stayed until October 2015. From October 2015 to December 2022, James held the role of Accounts and Tax Manager, specializing in providing advice on accounting and taxation issues, particularly property taxation and complex corporate matters such as research & development tax relief and tax efficient share schemes.
In January 2023, James joined Kreston Reeves as a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, where they currently work.
James O'Leary completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Honours degree in Management from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in July 2015, becoming QuickBooks Online Certified from Intuit in March 2014, becoming a Chartered Certified Accountant from ACCA in October 2012, and becoming Xero Certified from Xero in January 2011.
