Rupert Moyle

Partner & Head, VAT & Duty at Kreston Reeves LLP

Rupert joined Kreston Reeves in 2015 and became a partner, leading our VAT and Duty team in June 2017.

He has specialised in VAT for over 30 years. He began his career with HM Revenue & Customs before joining the profession in 1998 with PwC. Before joining us he worked for Baker Tilly (now RSM) in its Southern Region for 8 years.

Rupert has a broad range of experience, having advised owner-managed businesses through to multi-national groups on a variety of issues including disputes with HMRC, property matters, international supplies and the consequences of Brexit. He also specialises in advising organisations in the charity, education, museums/galleries and social housing sectors.

In October 2021, Rupert was appointed as Chair of Global Indirect Tax at Kreston Global.

Rupert advises on issues such as property transactions, sales/acquisitions of businesses, partial recovery methods, international trade, and reliefs from VAT. He is experienced in handling negotiations with HMRC and appeals against decisions and he regularly presents VAT updates and tailored training courses for clients.

Outside work Rupert enjoys gardening, fishing, mountain biking, and watching films and sport – predominantly rugby, football and formula one.
