Sam Rouse has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They started their career at Kreston Reeves in 1995 as an Audit Junior and progressed to become an Audit Senior, where they assisted on various audit, accounting, and tax assignments for different types of clients, including corporate and charitable entities. They were also seconded to clients to assist in internal management accounting processes. In 2007, they became a Corporate Manager, overseeing audit, accounting, and corporation tax for a variety of clients in the corporate and charity sector. They actively managed staff and coordinated work flow. In 2009, they became a Corporate Senior Manager, specializing in external auditing, accounting, and corporation tax for both corporate and charitable entities. They also gained experience in group auditing and accounts for UK and international groups. In 2012, Sam became a Corporate & Charity Specialist Partner, providing expertise in corporate audit and business advisory services, with a focus on the Charity and Not-for-profit sector. They achieved the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting and had experience in internal audit and grant auditing. Sam's work experience also extends beyond Kreston Reeves. They served as a Trustee and Treasurer at Ashford and Tenterden Samaritans from 2012 to 2019, handling governance and financial matters for the organization. They served in a similar role as a Trustee and Treasurer at Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Ltd. from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, Sam is an Advisory Board Member at Christ Church Business School since 2019 and a Member of the Board of Trustees at Kreston Reeves Foundation since 2018.
Sam Rouse attended St Anselm's School from 1988 to 1995. From 1996 to 1998, they pursued an AAT degree in Accountancy at the Association of Accounting Technicians. Following this, from 1998 to 2001, Sam furthered their education at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, earning an ACCA degree in Accountancy.
