Prashant Vitalkar has a diverse work experience in the agricultural industry. Prashant started their career as a Sales Officer at J K Agri Gentics Ltd in April 1997 before moving on to Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd in November 1997. At Nagarjuna, they worked as a Sales Officer until August 1999. Prashant then joined Parry Monsanto Seeds Ltd as a Sales Officer in August 1999 and stayed there until September 2001. In September 2001, they joined Krishidhan Seeds Limited and Krishidhan Seeds Pvt. Ltd, where they served as Vice President in various roles, including Sales & Marketing, Channel Management, Key Account Management, and Regional Manager Vidarbha. During their tenure at Krishidhan Seeds Pvt. Ltd, Prashant achieved significant milestones, such as attaining highest sales in Sunflower and setting record-breaking sales and collection in Vidarbha. Prashant also successfully launched the Advance booking scheme for new product Cotton.

Prashant Vitalkar has an education history in the field of agriculture. Prashant obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (B.Sc) from the College of Agriculture, Nagpur, Dr. P.D.K.V in 1995. Later, they pursued further studies and completed a Master's degree (M.Sc) in Agronomy from the same institution in 1997.
