Ryan Balshaw

Ryan Balshaw is an AI Scientist at Kriterion, a prominent SaaS company in Africa focused on predictive maintenance and intelligent condition monitoring. Ryan completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pretoria, where the research concentrated on asset condition monitoring using learning-based approaches. Prior to this, Ryan earned a Bachelor's, Master's, and Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, all with Cum Laude distinction from the same institution. In addition to current work in AI, Ryan has experience as a student tutor, specializing in various engineering subjects at the University of Pretoria.
