Gijs Braanker is a seasoned mechanical research and development engineer with extensive experience in designing, testing, certifying, and validating new flowmeters for the industrial market at KROHNE New Technologies B.V. since January 2019, where Gijs previously held the role of mechanical R&D engineer. Prior to this role, Gijs contributed to the food industry at Tummers Food Processing Solutions as a research and development engineer and project engineer, focusing on innovative techniques and the development of potato processing machine lines. Earlier experience includes engineering positions at Tromp Bakery Equipment, Wärtsilä, and internships in product development at several companies, highlighting a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and design. Gijs holds a Master of Science in Design for Interaction and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology.
