Jakob Grant-Ward

Application Engineer at Kromek

Jakob Grant-Ward has held a number of positions in various industries. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Skatepark Supervisor/Assistant at R-Kade Skatepark, where they were responsible for providing first aid and inspecting the skate park for quality and safety. In 2015, they became a Student Ambassador at Teesside University, where they promoted the university and raised a positive image. In 2017, they were a Mechanical Engineering Technician at QuantuMDx Group Limited, where they designed and manufactured bespoke parts using CAD software and worked to the ISO 13485 quality standard. In 2019, they were a Continuous Improvement Engineer at Inspired Pet Nutrition, where they used Lean Manufacturing Methodologies to reduce waste streams. Jakob also held a Student Researcher position at Teesside University during this time. In 2020, they became an Application Engineer at Kromek Group plc, where they drove the system performance requirements and owned the technical specification. Currently, they are a Director at Shufflers Inn Ltd.

Jakob Grant-Ward attended Redcar and Cleveland College from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 in Engineering with a Triple Merit Grade. Jakob then attended Teesside University from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
