michael akers

Michael Akers has worked in the software engineering industry since 2016. michael began their career as an Engineering Technician at Uber, where they worked until 2020. michael then moved on to Insight Global, where they served as a Software Engineer and Application Support. In this role, they improved CI/CD performance and quality by cleaning up a messy and unmaintained system, creating new local docker images, utilizing faster and more robust unused servers, and rewriting redundant and poorly written YAML files. Currently, they are a Junior Software Engineer at Kromek Group plc.

Michael Akers obtained their Bachelor's degree in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of Pittsburgh between 2000 and 2007. michael has also obtained four Coursera Course Certificates: Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (2020), Neural Networks and Deep Learning (2019), Mathematics for Machine Learning: Linear Algebra (2019), and Introduction to Data Science in Python (2017).
