Kathy Diaz, P.Geo.

Kathy Diaz, P.Geo. has worked in the geology field for over 10 years. Kathy began their career in 2010 as a Project Geologist at Tervita Corporation. In 2013, they moved to Wolverine Energy Services Inc. as a Project Geologist, where they were involved in O&G, water disposal, and cavern disposal projects. In 2018, they became a Consulting Geologist at Machree Environmental, where they analyzed geological prospects throughout Alberta. In 2020, they joined Petra Resources Inc. as an IT Project Manager Consultant, where they developed a full methodology description for Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step Methodology. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Krux Analytics Inc. as a Client Support Specialist.

Kathy Diaz, P.Geo. completed the EDGE UP (Energy to Digital Growth and Upskilling Project) program at the University of Calgary in 2020, with a focus on IT Project Management. Kathy previously obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Geology from the University of Calgary in 2004. In addition to their educational qualifications, Kathy also holds certifications in IT Project Management from the University of Calgary (2020), AutoCAD User Certification from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) (2005), and a Geoscientist Professional Designation from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) (2005). Kathy is also an Associate Member of the Geophysical Society of Houston, the Canadian Well Logging Society, and the CSPG - Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists.
