Martin Borek

Martin Borek has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Martin is currently working at Kry as a Technical Product Manager and previously held positions as a Senior Platform Engineer and Platform Engineer within the same company. Prior to their tenure at Kry, they worked at Nordic Entertainment Group as a Cloud Platform Developer & Scrum Master, where they developed and maintained a platform and tooling in AWS. Martin also worked as a Tech Trainee at Nordic Entertainment Group. Martin conducted their Master's thesis at the Australian Centre for Cyber Security during their time at UNSW Canberra at ADFA. Martin gained experience as a Software Developer Intern at Nasdaq and as a Teaching Assistant at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Additionally, they worked as a Software Design Engineer Intern at Honeywell Aerospace, where they worked on the Datalink project and collaborated with an international team. Early in their career, Martin worked as a Processing Associate at Dixons Retail and as a self-employed Web Developer.

Martin Borek has a strong educational background in computer science, with a focus on security and mobile computing. Martin obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2016, followed by another Master's degree in Computer Science from Aalto University from 2016 to 2017.

Prior to their Master's degrees, Martin completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Brno University of Technology from 2011 to 2015. Martin also had a brief period of study at the University of Eastern Finland in 2012 to 2013, focusing on Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Martin has obtained various certifications related to Amazon Web Services (AWS). Martin is an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, which they obtained in April 2020. Martin has also earned certifications as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate in October 2019 and as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in July 2019.
