Sofía Pérez

Sofía Pérez has a rich and diverse work experience spanning several years. Their most recent position is as a Senior Android Engineer at Kry, where they focus on UI development and works with app infrastructure and UI system architecture.

Prior to that, Sofía had an extensive tenure at Clue by Biowink. Sofía started as a Senior Android Engineer, working on improving and building new features for the Clue Android app. Sofía then transitioned to the role of Android Tech Lead, leading a team of approximately five people. Their responsibilities included being the go-to person for the Android team, driving the app's architecture strategy, and prioritizing technical initiatives.

Before joining Clue, Sofía worked as an Android Developer at HelloFresh for two and a half years. During their time there, they collaborated closely with various teams and was involved in the development of the HelloFresh Android app, which garnered significant recognition, including winning the award for Google Play Best of 2016, Most Innovative App in Great Britain. Sofía later became the Android Chapter Lead for the customer retention tribe and subsequently the Android Team Lead for the Mobile Team.

Earlier in their career, Sofía worked as an Android Developer at Onetree and gained experience as a Freelance Java Programmer and Web Developer. Sofía also worked as a Freelance Java Developer at FONDO NACIONAL DE RECURSOS, participating in the development of their web application.

Sofía's career began at ST Consultores, where they served as a Java Developer at ANTEL, a state-owned telecommunications company. Sofía was involved in the implementation of a services orchestrator using various technologies.

Sofía Pérez attended Universidad de la República from 2003 to 2014, where they studied Computer Engineering. In 2011, they also attended Universidad ORT Uruguay for a short period and completed a course in Java EE Applications Development.
