Rafael De Simone Cividanes

Rafael De Simone Cividanes has held several positions in the field of cybersecurity since 2004. Starting in 2004, they worked as an Information Security Analyst at Fundação Casimiro Montenegro Filho, where they developed an open and auditable encryption platform for the Root Certification Authority in Brazilian PKI. In 2005, they moved to Information Protection and Legal Consulting (IPLC) as an Information Security Consultant, where they implemented a Business Continuity Plan (BCP), developed security policies, and mapped business processes. In 2007, they returned to Fundação Casimiro Montenegro Filho as an Information Security Consultant, where they conducted an audit and analysis of the Lottery Processing System under an information security perspective. In 2008, they began working as a Senior Consultant and Technical Coordinator in Information Security at Fundação CPqD and a Professor of post-graduation in Information Security at Stefanini Trainning / ITA. In 2015, they joined Kudelski Security as a Cybersecurity Presales Manager, and in 2017 they became Chief Sales Officer | Cybersecurity Director and Head of Cybersecurity Practice at Kryptus EED SA. At Kryptus EED SA, they were responsible for the management and technical leadership of the cybersecurity unit, business development, sales strategy, technical presales, people management, design of new projects, portfolio improvement, and RFP response in LATAM level.

Rafael De Simone Cividanes obtained their Masters (stricto sensu) in Computer and Electronic Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained their BS in Computer Science from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho in 2002. Rafael also obtained three certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA São Paulo Chapter in 2011, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA São Paulo Chapter in 2011, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from Sao Paulo (ISC)2 Chartering Chapter in 2010.
