Dominik Engel

Dominik Engel serves as the Rector, Managing Director, FH-Professor, and Director of the Center for Secure Energy Informatics as well as the Josef Ressel Center for User-Centric Smart Grid Privacy, Security and Control at Fachhochschule Salzburg since February 2006. Additional roles include Member of the Board at KSV1870 and Salzburg Wohnbau, Member of the Senate at Christian Doppler Forschungsgesellschaft, and Privatdozent at Universität Salzburg. Engel holds the position of Chief Research Officer at sproof GmbH and has previously worked at Sony DADC, Universität Salzburg, University of Bremen, and Wind River Systems. Engel's academic qualifications include a Habilitation in Applied Informatics, a PhD in Computer Science, and two Master's degrees in English and American Literature as well as Computer Science, all obtained from Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg, complemented by studies at the University of East Anglia.
