Soonmin Bae currently serves as the AI Future Lab Director and Senior Vice President at KT, while also holding the position of CRAIO at the KT Responsible AI Center. With significant experience in AI and robotics, Soonmin previously directed Clova AI Research and Development at NAVER Corp and led the AI Development Team at Hanwha Techwin. Early career roles include positions as a Principal Research Engineer at Samsung Techwin and a Post-doctoral researcher at Boston College, along with impactful research at MIT and internships at Adobe Systems and INRIA Rhône-Alpes. Soonmin earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Computer Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, with additional studies at Simon Fraser University.
