Broadcasting from our modern digital facility on Kings Highway in Shreveport, we serve 28 counties and parishes in East Texas, Northwest Louisiana, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southern Arkansas. Shreveport is located within five hours of seven major cities and has recently become a center of activity for film and television production. With more than 398,000 households in our DMA, Shreveport is considered the economic leader of a region that stretches north to McCurtain county Oklahoma; west to Longview, Texas; south to Natchitoches, Louisiana and east to Monroe, Louisiana. Made up of an array of mid-sized communities, the television marketing population is well over half a million people. KTBS 3 is owned and operated by KTBS, LLC, and is one of the few stations in the country that can still claim local ownership and community identity. On October 14, 2010, KTBS became the first station in the ArkLaTex to broadcast local news in high definition. And, today, viewers can find our news content on a multitude of platforms, including livestreaming on KTBS.com, as well as over-the-top offerings such as Sony PlayStation, Google TV, and YouTube.
