Geoff Graney's work experience begins in 1993 as a Reserve Fire Investigator and Inspector at the Anaheim Fire Department. Geoff then served as a Reserve Firefighter at the City of Montebello in 1995. In 1997, they worked as an Urban Design Intern at the City and County of Denver, followed by a role as a Volunteer Firefighter at the City of Louisville, Colorado in 1997. From 1998 to 2001, Geoff worked as a Land Planner at TRG LAND, INC. In 2000, they briefly worked as an Emergency Medical Technician at Mammoth Hospital. From 2001 to 2007, they served as an Associate Urban Designer at EDAW. Geoff's most recent position is as the Director of Planning and Urban Design at KTGY since 2007. In this role, their responsibilities include visioning, senior urban designer, research and development, project management, marketing, business development, and leading the studio. Notable projects at KTGY include Carey Park in Atlanta, GA, Easvale Downtown in CA, and Urban+Farm in Bozeman, MT.

Geoff Graney pursued their education starting from 1990 at Santa Ana College, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Fire Protection in 1993. Geoff then continued their academic journey at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1996 to 1998, where they received a degree in BENVD, specializing in Planning and Urban Design.
