Alex Terwilliger

Alex Terwilliger, MBA, CPM, is an accomplished academic and organizational leader currently serving as the Associate Director - Chief Operating Officer at The University of Kansas' Public Management Center since June 2022. With extensive experience in student services and relationship management, Alex previously held roles such as Account Relationship Manager at Paychex, and Associate Director of Student Services at The University of Kansas, where significant improvements in student inquiry conversion were achieved. Earlier professional endeavors include positions as Student Success Manager at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City and Lecturer at Northern Arizona University. Alex's background also includes budget analysis and coordination at Coconino Community College, along with military service as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve, including deployments in Guantanamo Bay and Iraq. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Accounting from Grand Canyon University, a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Northern Arizona University, and an AA in Business from Coconino County Community College.
