Christy Little Schock

Christy Little Schock is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Assistant Director for the KU News Service at the University of Kansas since September 2011. In this role, Christy edits news releases and manages the KU Today newsletter, catering to an audience of 19,500 faculty and staff. Additionally, Christy teaches writing essentials at the William Allen White School of Journalism & Mass Communications. Previous positions include Social Media Coordinator for L - A Women's Lifestyle Magazine, Copy Editor for The World Company, and Special Sections Editor for the Lawrence Journal-World. Christy holds a Master of Science in Digital Content Strategy from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Kansas State University, with certifications in English and journalism.
