Steven Simoens is a Professor of Health Economics at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, a position held since February 2004. Prior to this role, Simoens worked as a Project Administrator at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) from September 2002 to February 2004 and served as a Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen from October 2001 to August 2002. Simoens earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Aberdeen between 1998 and 2001, an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York in 1998, and a degree in Commercial Engineering from KU Leuven from 1992 to 1997.
