Aidin Azhangzad

Aidin Azhangzad is the current VP of Finance at KUDO. Prior to their current position, they worked at Nasdaq from June 2012 to February 2020. Aidin's title was AVP-Financial Planning & Analysis and they were responsible for FP&A. Aidin also led $500M planning processes including monthly forecasting, quarterly long-range planning, and annual budgeting. In addition, they were responsible for product profitability and P&L management. Aidin derived 3-5% growth in margin through direct and allocated services cost control via multi-dimensional cost breakdown and capital allocation monitoring and reporting.

Aidin developed an elaborate revenue and expense model framework that became the gold standard at Nasdaq and was adopted by all trading units. This facilitated analysis over multiple years, scenarios, clients and products. Aidin also led the annual 2-10-year strategic planning process, products roadmap and executive-level presentations to the CEO. Furthermore, they supported the financial aspects of 8 divestitures and M&A projects. This included building bottom-up evaluation models.

Aidin built a fully interactive customer-level revenue model using SQL and QlikView dashboard. This increased forecast accuracy by 5% in two months while providing sales team deeper insight into product KPI’s. Additionally, they managed the launch of multiple new products including Nasdaq bond listing platform and future trading platform. Aidin also added 70 new institutional clients. Lastly, they led 5-month business unit efforts to move accounting/financial process from Oracle PeopleSoft to WorkDay. This saved 10% in project cost by leveraging internal supports while ensuring timely and seamless transition.

Aidan Azhangzad has an MBA in finance and quantitative modeling from Baruch College. Aidin also has an MS in industrial engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, and a BS in industrial engineering (system analysis) from Azad University (IAU). In addition, they have certification from the Industrial Management Institute in customer relationship management (CRM), internal auditor, and PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge). Aidin also has certification from Qlik in QlikView Designer & Developer, and certification from FINRA in Series 99.
