Product Designer at KUGU

Iva Kirova is a visual artist and designer with experience in product design, UI/UX design, photography, event management, and art mediation. In 2022, they began working as a Product Designer at KUGU. In 2021, they worked as a Freelance UX Designer, conducting research, competitive analysis, heuristic evaluations, and user interviews to draw an overall product strategy for new and existing products. Iva also created compelling visual identities and extensive design languages. Iva also worked as a Freelance UI/UX Designer for METAXU, where they pitched design ideas for a new website launch, improved the onboarding for both blockchain enthusiasts and people new to the concept, and designed UI elements to differentiate NFT properties and introduce a compelling visual identity. In 2018, they worked as a Graphic Designer for DICE Conference + Festival. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Visual Artist for Artist Experience, creating site-specific installations and performances using various media as an individual artist and as a member of an art collective. During this time, they also worked as an Event Manager for Art Spin Berlin, securing state funding for a bike-art tour by writing a successful funding and sponsorship proposals. Additionally, they worked as an Art Mediator for KW Institute for Contemporary Art from 2016 to 2018, and as a Freelance Photographer for Documentation of Art Projects from 2014 to 2021.

Iva Kirova has a diverse education history. In 2003, they graduated from the First English Language School with a High School degree in English Language. From 2008 to 2012, they attended the New Bulgarian University and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Photography & Graphic Design. From 2012 to 2014, they attended Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and obtained a Master's Degree in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies. In 2020, they began attending CareerFoundry and is currently pursuing a UX Design degree. In addition, they obtained a Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment in December 2008.
