In 1959, W.A. Krause and T.S. Gentle used the first letters of their last names to create Kum & Go. The family-owned company has grown to encompass more than 420 convenience stores in eleven states. The stores sell its store brand products, such as gourmet coffee, water, beef jerky, potato chips, sandwiches and snack nuts, under the Hiland name.
