Michael Chobanian

Michael Chobanian has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities. Michael is currently the President of the Blockchain Association of Ukraine since May 2018. In addition, they founded Xreserve in October 2018, where they developed a stablecoin cryptocurrency called UAX token. Prior to that, Chobanian founded KUNA Exchange in 2016 and KUNA Family in 2014, which is the first bitcoin agency in Ukraine. Michael was also a Co-Founder and member of the board at Bitcoin Foundation Ukraine, starting in April 2014.

Before entering the world of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, Chobanian was the CEO of VULKANIT from July 2012 until August 2015. VULKANIT is a leading manufacturer of basalt fiber products. In the same year, they founded INLIGHT Consulting and held the role of CEO until March 2014.

Chobanian's work experience also includes being a Co-Founder of Silenca Digital, an IT-focused group of companies, from September 2011 to September 2012. Michael has worked in the telecom industry as well, serving as the Managing Director and Strategic Business Development at ITC, a leading CDMA operator in Ukraine, from January 2008 to August 2010. Prior to that, they held the position of Deputy CEO and Commercial Director, where they managed the sales and marketing department from November 2005 to January 2008. During their tenure at ITC, they also played a key role in developing the company's goals, vision, and strategy.

Michael Chobanian's education history includes a range of degrees and studies. Michael began their education in 1995 at 57, where they pursued a general curriculum. From 1998 to 2002, they attended Uppingham and obtained their GCSE A-Levels degree with a focus on Economics. Following this, they enrolled at City, University of London from 2002 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

In 2010, Michael pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree at three different institutions. Michael attended the London Business School, The University of Hong Kong, and Columbia Business School simultaneously, completing their EMBA studies in 2012.

Additionally, it is worth noting that Michael also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) through the EMBA-Global Asia program, offered jointly by Columbia Business School, London Business School, and The University of Hong Kong.
