Iris Beljaars

Iris Beljaars is an experienced professional in arts education and communication, currently serving as the Programmaleider kind & gezin en communicatie educatie at Kunstmuseum Den Haag since January 2020. Previously, Iris worked at Gemeentemuseum Den Haag from January 2008 until December 2019, holding various roles including programmamedewerker kind en gezin, museumdocent, and public guide for interactive exhibitions. Additional experience includes positions at the Van Gogh Museum, Jegens&Tevens, and other organizations, where Iris focused on teaching art to diverse age groups, developing educational products, and guiding tours. Iris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drawing and Graphics from Academie St. Joost Breda and has a background in creative arts, with early work as a beeldend kunstenaar.
