Marieke Cambeen

Marieke Cambeen is currently the Executive Vice President of Springer Journals at Springer Nature Group, overseeing a portfolio of over 2000 academic journals and leading their transition to open access since January 2023. Cambeen also serves on the Supervisory Board of Kunstmuseum Den Haag and has previously held similar roles at ROC Mondriaan and Consumentenbond. As Managing Director of Bohn Stafleu van Loghum from 2016 to 2022, Cambeen transformed the company into a digital-first organization, focusing on online learning and achieving sustainable growth. Prior experience includes interim management at Audax, where profitability and project launches were improved, and various roles at Sdu, culminating in the positions of Chief Publishing Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Educational credentials include a degree in business administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and further studies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
