Kara McDermott

Kara McDermott is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in media and emergency services. Currently serving as a Social Media Producer at KUOW Public Radio since March 2021, Kara previously held the role of Web Producer at the same organization from May 2013 to December 2019, where responsibilities included copy-editing articles and show summaries. Alongside media work, Kara has been a Firefighter/EMT for Ocean Shores Fire Department since July 2018 and serves as President of the Ocean Shores Volunteer Firefighters Association.
