Mary Heisey

Mary Heisey is an accomplished podcast producer, editor, and journalist with extensive experience in audio storytelling and youth media development. Currently, Mary serves as a podcast producer and narrative editor for Forterra, alongside a role as a mental health journalist for VeryWell Mind. Mary has held multiple positions at KUOW Public Radio, contributing as a story editor for RadioActive Youth Media and previously as a program and associate producer. Additionally, Mary worked as a contractor and freelance audio producer with Pod People and was an RJI Innovation Fellow at the Reynolds Journalism Institute, focusing on youth media program development. Previous roles include Radio Camp Coordinator at WFDD Public Radio and Editor in Chief at Red Rover Camping. Mary graduated with a B.A. in English and Sociology & Anthropology from Guilford College.
