Jennifer Hsieh

Jennifer Hsieh has worked as a Principal Scientist at Kura Biotec since April 2019. Prior to that, they were a PhD student in Neuroscience at the University of Cape Town from January 2011 to May 2022. Jennifer also worked as a Research Scientist at Roche Sequencing Solutions in Cape Town from January 2015 to March 2019. Before that, they worked at Composition 4 as a member of UCT from 2005 to 2012. Jennifer Hsieh also worked as a Graduate student at the University of Cape Town from 2008 to 2010.

Jennifer Hsieh began their education in 2011 at the University of Cape Town, where they pursued a PhD in Neuroscience. This program lasted until 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Jennifer obtained several certifications. In 2016, they completed the "Introduction to Genomic Technologies" course on Coursera. In 2017, they obtained certifications in "Command Line Tools for Genomic Data Science," "Algorithms for DNA Sequencing," and "Python for Genomic Data Science," also through Coursera. In 2018, they completed the "Bioconductor for Genomic Data Science" and "Statistics for Genomic Data Science" courses on Coursera. Their most recent certifications include "Genomic Data Science with Galaxy" on Coursera in 2018 and a series of LinkedIn certifications in various topics related to virtual meetings, remote work, and productivity, all obtained in 2020.
