Mauricio Vargas Uribe

Mauricio Vargas Uribe has a diverse work experience, with roles in various organizations. Mauricio started their career at Laboratorio ETECMA as the Head of Molecular Biology from January 2008 to December 2009. Mauricio then moved on to the University of Kansas Medical Center, where they worked as a Research Assistant from August 2010 to May 2015.

In 2015, Mauricio joined the Universidad Austral de Chile, where they held two roles simultaneously. Mauricio worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and an Adjunct Professor from November 2015 to October 2018. Currently, they are associated with Kura Biotec and holds the position of Scientist R&D since January 2019. Mauricio was later promoted to the position of Head Scientist R&D in March 2019.

Mauricio Vargas Uribe pursued their education with dedication and commitment. From 2000 to 2007, they attended Universidad Austral de Chile, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry. This laid the foundation for their future academic endeavors. Seeking to further their knowledge and expertise, they then entered The University of Kansas, commencing their studies in 2010. Over a span of five years, until 2015, they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Through their educational journey, Mauricio Vargas Uribe demonstrated a passion for the scientific field and a dedication to expanding their understanding in the realm of biochemistry.
