Associate Director, Regulatory And Scientific Writing at Kura Oncology

Rebecca Swartz has a diverse work experience in the field of medical writing and academia. Rebecca began their career as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Middlebury College in 2008 and later pursued a PHD at Yale University, where they served as a PHD candidate, Writing Center Tutor, and Teaching Fellow. In 2015, they joined Medpace as a Medical Writer and worked there until 2018. Rebecca then transitioned to Exact Sciences, where they served as a Medical Writer and Content Manager until 2020. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Medical Writer at DOCS. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Regulatory and Scientific Writing at Kura Oncology, Inc., starting in 2022.

Rebecca Swartz completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell Biology from Yale University, which took place from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Middlebury College, spanning from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, Rebecca pursued further studies in Italian Language and Literature at Middlebury College Summer Language Schools in 2007. In terms of certifications, they became a Certified Medical Publication Professional™ through the ISMPP (International Society for Medical Publication Professionals) in April 2019.
