Prior to this role, Masaki held a position in Technical Service and Development at Kuraray America, Inc. from January 2018 to March 2020. Masaki also served as a Chemical Researcher in the Isoprene Chemicals Division of Kuraray Co., Ltd. from April 2009 to December 2017, focusing on the development and marketing of new chemicals. Kuraray was established in 1926 in Kurashiki City with the objective of commercializing rayon. Following WWII, the Company commercialized synthetic fiber, which was invented in Japan, and developed a series of unique businesses, including the man-made leather CLARINO, developed as a substitute for natural leather, polyester textiles, non-woven fabrics KURAFLEX, and the hook-and-loop fastener MAGIC TAPE.
