Brooks Gentry has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Brooks began their career in 1992 as an Instructor at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In 1994, they joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as a Physician and Anesthesiologist, holding the position for 28 years until 2022. In 2003, they assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer at InterveXion Therapeutics, where they worked until 2022. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Kuria Therapeutics.

Brooks Gentry obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, General from Hendrix College, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, from 1984 to 1988, ultimately earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
