Jillanne Johnson

Jillanne Johnson has extensive experience in the horticulture industry, currently serving as the Assistant to Kirk Weiss at Kurt Weiss Greenhouses since July 2007, where responsibilities include Live Goods Purchasing. Prior to this role, Jillanne was a Sales Representative at Ball Horticultural Company (2005-2007), managing sales across Long Island, NYC, and surrounding areas. As a Floriculture Specialist at Cornell Cooperative Extension Suffolk County (2001-2005), Jillanne supported local greenhouse growers with various agricultural practices. Additionally, Jillanne served as an Instructor at The New York Botanical Garden (2001-2003) and worked as a Horticultural Extension Agent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service (1997-1999). Early career experience includes a Horticultural Internship at Walt Disney World (1993-1994). Jillanne holds a Master of Science in Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University and degrees in Plant Protection and Pest Management from The University of Georgia, as well as Ornamental Horticulture from Farmingdale State College.
