Roland Maessen

Roland Maessen has a diverse and extensive work experience in risk management and compliance. Roland currently holds the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Kushki since June 2022. Previously, they served as the Head of Risk & Compliance / CRO at Kushki Mundial. Prior to their role at Kushki, Roland worked as the Head of Compliance at Worldline Merchant Services from October 2020 to July 2022. Roland also has experience as a Vice President of Risk & Compliance at Digital River, Worldline, and Global Collect Services, where they developed risk management strategies and implemented procedures to support business objectives. Other notable positions in their career include Risk Strategy Consultant at ABN AMRO Bank and Project Manager Risk at DaimlerChrysler Financial Services. Roland has a strong background in risk and compliance management and has played a key role in establishing and managing risk departments, developing scorecards, and implementing Basel II guidelines.

Roland Maessen attained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Economics with a focus on Strategic Management from Tilburg University, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. Prior to that, they completed their Preparatory Scientific Education in Mathematics and Economics at Collegium Marianum between 1982 and 1988.
