Clete Samson serves as a Partner at Kutak Rock since November 2016, specializing as a nationally respected crisis response lawyer for companies under investigations or compliance audits from various governmental agencies, including the U.S. Prior to this role, Clete held the position of Assistant Chief Counsel at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from May 2009 to November 2016, acting as the national point of contact for Immigration and Customs Enforcement regarding worksite enforcement, audits, and investigations. Clete began a legal career as a Litigation Associate at Greenberg Traurig from May 2006 to May 2009, where responsibilities included trial preparation, e-discovery, and drafting settlement agreements. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and a degree in Psychology and Political Science from Doane University.
