Timo Nikkanen

System Engineer at Kuva Space

Timo Nikkanen has been working in the field of engineering since 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Finnish Meteorological Institute. During this time, they also wrote a Master's thesis on the development and testing of a microcontroller based Data Processing Unit for a pressure and humidity instrument for the Martian atmosphere. In 2012, they continued their work at the Finnish Meteorological Institute as a Researcher and Research Assistant. In 2016, they moved to Kuva Space, where they have been working as a System Engineer.

Timo Nikkanen's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Electronics from Aalto University (2007-2011), a Master of Science in Space Technology from Aalto University (2011-2013), the Space Studies Program from International Space University (2013), and the ESA Alpbach Summer School (2015) for Designing a Space Mission for Quantum Physics and Fundamental Physics.
