Níels Bjarnason

Níels Bjarnason currently serves as the Head of Data and Growth at Kvika banki hf. since October 2021, overseeing the data and growth division across all brands and formulating strategies for data utilization and growth opportunities. Previously, Níels held roles including Growth Manager at Kvika, Business Intelligence Specialist at Marel, and Senior Data Engineer at Meniga, where expertise spanned data management, BI project improvement, and automation. Early experience includes positions as a Software Engineer at Azazo, Business Intelligence Developer and SQL DBA at Arion Bank, and IT Apprentice at Kaupthing Bank. Níels possesses a strong educational background with multiple degrees in Software Engineering and Management from Háskóli Íslands, complemented by a high school diploma in Mathematics from Verzlunarskóli Íslands.
