Xicheng Dong

Xicheng Dong is a data platform expert with extensive experience in building and leading engineering teams within prominent technology companies. Currently serving as the Director of Data Platform at Kwai Inc. since April 2019, Xicheng has been instrumental in developing a next-generation big data platform capable of handling Exabyte-level data, supporting 300 million daily active users and 500 million monthly active users. Prior to this role, Xicheng spent five years at Hulu, where the position of Principal Software Development Lead involved overseeing talented engineering teams focused on big data, video on demand, and AI infrastructure. Xicheng's earlier career includes roles at Jike.com, where optimization and development of Hadoop MapReduce and data processing systems were key responsibilities. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Xidian University.
