Alexander Brandenburg has extensive experience in the fields of oncology research, science communication, and writing. Currently serving as Lead speerpunt Vroeg & Voortijdig opsporen van kanker and Onderzoeksspecialist/Wetenschapsredacteur at KWF Kankerbestrijding since September 2014, Alexander oversees numerous oncological research projects ranging from prevention to palliative care. Concurrently, as a freelance Tekstschrijver/redacteur at AB-sørd, Alexander has produced satirical content for various platforms and engaged in research transcription and data analysis. Since September 2011, Alexander has been a Redacteur/Fotomodel for De Speld, contributing to unique news articles addressing underreported stories. Additional roles include working as a Redacteur at FC Knudde, a Onderzoeksassistent/Biobankier at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, and developing educational materials for Stichting Communicatie Centrum Chemie. Alexander holds a Master’s degree in Science Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Utrecht University.
