Benjamin D. Gruber is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in plant research and biotechnology. Since November 2014, Benjamin has been a Senior Scientist at KWS Group, following a role as Research Scientist. Prior experience includes work as a Postdoctoral Scientist at IPK Gatersleben, where notable projects involved developing high-throughput phenotyping methods and studying the genetic factors influencing barley root system architecture. Earlier in the career, Benjamin was a PhD student at CSIRO Plant Industry, focusing on the characterization of the HvALMT1 gene in barley, and an Honours Student at The Australian National University, investigating manganese tolerance genes in plants. Education includes a Bachelor of Biotechnology with First Class Honours from The Australian National University.
