Theres Kuester

Theres Kuester is a seasoned expert in digital phenotyping and remote sensing, currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Data Capture & Automation at KWS Group since December 2021. With a strong background at the Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam - German Research Centre GFZ from November 2007 to March 2024, Theres held various roles including Guest Scientist, Postdoctoral Researcher, and PhD Researcher, contributing to significant projects such as the Environmental Mapping Program (EnMAP) and studies on environmental plastics. Prior experience includes teaching roles at the University of Potsdam, research at Technische Universität Dresden, and a Diploma thesis focused on urban biotope classification. Theres holds a Research Doctorate in Geography from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and an Engineer's degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Technische Universität Dresden.
