Takahiro Ishii

Takahiro Ishii currently serves as the Executive Director and Head of the Open Innovation Group at Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. since April 2021, where responsibilities include leading an external innovation team to identify and evaluate assets and technologies across various scientific fields. A significant portion of Takahiro's career was spent at Astellas Pharma from April 2001 to March 2019, holding positions such as Research Manager, Research Fellow, and Senior Researcher in Medicinal Chemistry and Research Planning. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at Scripps Research from April 1999 to March 2001, contributing to the Department of Chemistry and the Skaggs Institute for Chemical Biology.
