Currently serving as the Executive Director of Communications and Engagement for Kyrene Elementary School District since July 2018, Erin Helm leads a team focused on enhancing the district's visibility and reputation as a premier elementary education provider in Arizona. Prior to this role, Erin Helm held various positions including Director of Communications and Marketing at Scottsdale Unified School District and Public Information and Marketing Officer at Arizona's Family. Erin Helm's career in journalism began with roles such as Senior Producer at WRTV and News Producer at multiple news stations, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Kyrene School District is one of Arizona’s leading public school districts, providing excellence in education for more than 130 years. Kyrene is known for high academic achievement, with schools consistently outperforming peer districts, charter schools, and state averages on AzMERIT and other academic benchmarks. Kyrene is also home to a Traditional Academy and an IB World School. Preschool options include dual-language, leadership, and arts integration programs, as well as project-based and self-directed learning programs.
