Kevin Bailey

Kevin Bailey is the current Chief Information Security Officer at Kyriba. Previously, Kevin worked as an Information Security Specialist at Sempra Energy from June 2016 to June 2017 and as a Staff IT Security Engineer at Qualcomm from April 2013 to June 2016.

At Sempra Energy, Kevin implemented and managed security solutions that provided comprehensive prevention, advanced threat detection, and incident response capabilities. At Qualcomm, Kevin was the Technical lead of the IT Security Engineering team and their primary responsibility was to ensure that the security infrastructure managed by their team provided the highest level of security possible and maintained high availability. This work involved leading efforts to implement new strategies and tools to mitigate emerging threats as well as guiding the team in maintaining our current security tools used for threat detection and response.

The team Kevin led at Qualcomm was responsible for enterprise scale security tools including but not limited to: Host DLP, application whitelisting, endpoint detection and response, privilege account management solutions, endpoint encryption, and host based firewalls.

Kevin's expert understanding of these tools and the data they generate allows him to discover anomalies, trends and potential threats within the data; automate routine tasks and extract valuable data using various scripting languages such as PowerShell, and Python; and create and maintain custom Splunk Apps, Reports, and Dashboards.

Kevin Bailey has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security from ITT Technical Institute-San Diego, an Associate's degree in computer Networking Systems from ITT Technical Institute-San Diego, and various certifications from GIAC and (ISC)².

Kevin Bailey reports to Jean-Luc Robert, Chairman & CEO. They are on a team with Wolfgang Koester - Chief Evangelist, Andrew Snyder - Chief Experience Officer, and Boris Lipiainen - CTO.
