James Bugay

James Bugay, MHA, currently serves as Project Manager II for Quality Improvement at L.A. Care Health Plan, starting in January 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Special Projects Analyst and Project Coordinator III in IPA Operations at Optum from February 2020 to June 2023, and as an Ambulatory Services Representative at Kaiser Permanente from March 2019 to February 2020. Additional experience includes staffing management at Home Care Assistance, patient transportation and nutrition care representation at Cedars-Sinai, and an administrative internship focused on patient experience and employee engagement at Keck Medicine of USC. James Bugay holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration/Management from California State University, Northridge.
