Miguel Barcenas

Miguel Barcenas is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in provider relations and network management. As the Provider Network Director at L.A. Care Health Plan since March 2013, Miguel leads and manages the organization’s provider network, and previously held the role of Director in DHS Managed Care Support Services under Safety Net Initiatives. Prior to L.A. Care, Miguel served as the Provider Relations Manager at CalOptima from September 2005 to March 2013, where responsibilities included overseeing the operational integrity of the provider network and maintaining professional relationships with affiliated providers. Miguel also held the position of Health Network Manager at CalOptima, focusing on problem-solving, provider education, and facilitating communication between providers and management.
