Susan Stone M.D. Mph Facep Chie

Susan Stone MD MPH FACEP CHIE is an experienced physician with a focus on population health, palliative care, and emergency medicine. Susan has held various roles in prestigious organizations such as L.A. Care Health Plan, Cedars-Sinai, and Providence Health & Services. Throughout their career, they have served as a senior medical director, medical director, independent consultant, and board member, showcasing their expertise in medical management, supportive and palliative care medicine, and comprehensive care programs. Dr. Stone has also been involved in research and teaching, holding positions as a researcher and associate professor at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Susan Stone obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Susan also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Stone completed their residency in Emergency Medicine at New York University from 1994 to 1998, where they also served as Chief Resident from 1997 to 1998. Susan completed the Health Care Leadership Program at the California Healthcare Foundation from 2008 to 2010. In 2021, Dr. Stone pursued additional education in Gerontology at the University of South Florida. Susan is currently an Executive Leadership Fellow at AHIP. Dr. Stone has obtained certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Medicine, American Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
