Jacob Lipa

Board Member at L A FAMILY HOUSING CORPORATION

Jacob Lipa is currently a board member at L A FAMILY HOUSING CORPORATION. Prior to this, they served as a board member for FRIENDS OF THE HOLLYWOOD CAP PARK from March 2014 to March 2019. In this role, they helped create a new 38-acre park in Hollywood, Los Angeles by covering one mile of the Hollywood Freeway (US101).

From January 2010 to December 2015, Jacob served as the Chairman for the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC). During their time with the LABC, they had a major impact on public policies in the areas of energy, housing, transportation, international trade and economic development.

Jacob has also worked with the City of Los Angeles and Caltrans to further resolve entitlements, engineering and environmental issues.

Jacob Lipa's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. Jacob then obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Northridge. After working in the field for several years, they obtained a certification from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) - California. Finally, they obtained a certification from ACEC in Senior Executives Institute, Class II.
