Toi oversees five essential operational functions at LA Family Housing: Information Technology (IT), Operations, Asset Management, Performance and Quality Assurance, and Human Resources. Toi holds more than 21 years of experience in the government sector, previously working at the L.A. County Office of Education, the City of Santa Clarita and most recently in the City of Lancaster where she was the Administrative and Community Services Director. She has a master’s Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, Northridge.
It was in Toi’s role with the City of Lancaster where LA Family Housing worked alongside her and other community leaders to form the SPA 1 plan to end homelessness. Toi’s voice and understanding of homeless issues, especially the government funding matrix, was instrumental in both creating and implementing that plan. At LA Family Housing, Toi will focus on our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts as LA Family Housing creates an intentional shift in our response to all forms of racism and discrimination, promotes inclusion and understanding, and works to create a more equitable approach at LA Family Housing for staff and the community they serve.
