Francois Montignies possesses extensive experience in the fields of education, research, and technical communication within the audio engineering and automotive industries. Currently serving as the Education & Scientific Outreach Manager for L-Acoustics in the Asia Pacific region since February 2011, Francois has been instrumental in defining the company's education strategy, developing a comprehensive online education platform, and creating vocational offers while managing training programs that have certified over 6000 participants across more than 60 countries. Prior roles include research engineering positions focusing on auditory perception in virtual environments at HIT Lab NZ, human factors and automotive sound quality at Renault, and urban sound perception research at LAPS Design Sonore. Francois holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychoacoustics and Sound Design from INSA Lyon and multiple degrees from Université de Technologie de Compiègne, showcasing a strong academic foundation in acoustics, cognitive science, and philosophy.
